THE CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER

Amazing Grace is one of Mission Life’s newest child centers, established in February 2021 during a Mission Life team visit to Colombia. Located in the coffee region, the population of Genova is around eleven thousand. The town is nestled in the Andes mountains, about 114 miles west of Bogota. There are around 1400 school-aged children here. Families either live in town or in the outlying rural areas. Many parents work long hours as farmers, leaving little time for the children. The town is in the early growth period of coffee production and as many areas of Colombia, it is dedicated to putting all of its resources toward a profitable coffee industry. 

Pastor Juan David was asked to lead his congregation in 2020 and he and his team began the hard work to create the children’s ministry. Community leaders agree the town’s children face a variety of social issues and fully support Amazing Grace. Juan David says the timing of the partnership with Mission Life is a gift from God and a blessing for the community.

Through your sponsorship, your child will receive daily meals, tutoring, help with school supplies, activities and sports and Christian values and principles to support their social, physical, and spiritual development. It will not only change their life but yours as well as you develop a meaningful relationship and it can be shared with the whole family.
